Product description

Shellspen suspension powder for 50 kg slurry

Shellspen suspension powder is a special powder used as a suspension agent in ceramic slurries. It helps to keep the solid particles in the slurry evenly distributed, eliminating the need for continuous stirring. This makes the process of making ceramic molds more efficient and convenient.

QUANTITY

1 bag of 250 grams of Shellspen suspension powder is enough for 50 kg of slurry. Or enough for 25 kg of Adbond liquid and 25 kg of fused silica flour.

Key features of Shellspen suspension powder:

  • Improved stability : Keeps the solid particles in suspension, keeping the slurry homogeneous.

  • Ease of use : Reduces the need for constant stirring.

  • Longer shelf life : A slurry made with Shellspen can have a shelf life of up to six months, provided it is mixed briefly once a week.

Application:

  1. Mix 25 kg of fused silica flour (200 mesh or 325 mesh) with the entire contents of a bag of Shellspen suspension powder.

  2. Add 25 kg of Adbond fluid (or 21 liters) to a container large enough to hold 30 liters of slurry.

  3. Mix the mixture thoroughly until it is homogeneous.

  4. Let the slurry sit for at least 1 hour , preferably overnight, before using.
