Silicone Condensation 20 is a tin-cure silicone rubber with a Shore A 20 hardness, specially developed for creating durable molds for polyester, epoxy, and composite casting. This liquid silicone delivers exceptional detail and combines flexibility with very high tensile strength for long-term use.

Technical Features

This condensation silicone is supplied as a two-component system, easy to use at room temperature. Its medium hardness (Shore A 20) offers the ideal balance between flexibility and dimensional stability. Suitable for both brush and pouring applications, depending on the complexity of the model.

Note: Pot life (processing time) and demold time depend heavily on the mixing ratio and humidity. Adding more silicone B (hardener) or increasing humidity will shorten the pot life and demold time.

Ironing, Smearing or Spatula

For spreading, spatulating or smoothing silicone you can use Thixo C (0.6%-2%, usually 1%) . This thickener makes the silicone easy to spread. With this processing method, the mold must be provided with aplaster bandage support cap. epoxy support cap, or acrylic resin with thickener and glass fibre.
