This release spray is ideal for the treatment of surfaces which are (slightly) porous or whereby the possibility exists that silicones might adhere (mechanically or chemically). The spray can also be applied to the silicone mold itself to facilitate silicone...
Poly vinyl alcohol can be used to prevent cure inhibition from an otherwise "toxic" surface for addition curing silicones. If this poly vinyl alcohol is brushed on properly the poisoning material will not bleed through. PVA dissolves readily in water...
This wax based release spray is ideal for the treatment of surfaces which are (slightly) porous or whereby the possibility exists that silicones might adhere (mechanically or chemically). The spray can also be applied to the silicone mold itself to...
Description Talcum Powder is a multifunctional material that can be used for many purposes. The powder is ideal to eliminate the non-slipping character of silicone, but can also be used for a fine discharge between two layers of addition silicones....
SRA 6200 is a multi-purpose, medium duty, silicone mould release agent. It is based on silicones and has been formulated as a highly effective, multi-purpose release agent for most waxes, plastics and rubber moulding purposes. SRA 6200 provides a medium...
High carnauba wax content producing hard high gloss film – excellent for breaking in new molds Non-silicone - good tape adhesion for use where masking is required Effective in preventing/reducing pre-release on large tools, plugs & heavy laminates Excellent at...

🔧 Professional Release Agents for Molds and Originals
Release agents facilitate the removal of a silicone mold from an original and from a casting in a silicone mold. Our carefully selected collection offers the perfect solution for every application.
✨ Why Release Agents Are Essential
Silicone generally doesn't adhere unless the surface is porous (unfinished wood, styrene, baked clay). In that case, you can use a pore sealer and/or release agent .
🎯 Important Applications:
Condensation silicones bond to addition and condensation silicones → Always use release agent
Addition silicone bonding to fresh addition silicone → Strongly recommended to use release agent
Polyurethane, epoxy and polyester bond strongly to many materials → Release agent protects your mold
🔬 Specialist Solutions
For absorbent surfaces: On highly absorbent surfaces, polyvinyl alcohol can be used as a release agent. This is especially helpful because it dissolves with plenty of water and therefore leaves little to no discoloration. This is used on marlstone, among other things.
✨ Finish & Gloss
The nature of the release agent determines whether the mold retains its gloss or not. Therefore, a good choice is important:
Buffable or wax-based release agents → Can often be buffed back to a shine
Powdered release agents → Provide a mattifying effect
