No standard product quite fits your process? In our own lab we adapt existing silicone systems or put together a system to your specification. You test a trial batch first, then we lock in the formulation.
We start from an existing silicone system or put together a new one, and bring the properties to the values your application needs.
From very soft gel to firm rubber, matched to the Shore hardness your product or mould requires.
Pot life and cure speed that suit your process, whether you pour by hand or work in series.
Pourable and self-degassing, or brushable and non-sagging for vertical surfaces.
Tear strength, elongation and tensile strength matched to the load in use or during demoulding.
Clear, translucent or coloured. We match the colour to a reference you provide.
Lighter or heavier material, for example to control weight or material consumption.
From your specification to a fixed formulation. So you know in advance what to expect from us and what we need from you.
You describe your application, your process and the properties you need. If you currently use another product, please include its data sheet.
We assess feasibility and the trade-off involved, and send a proposal for the approach and the cost of the trial batch.
After payment we produce the trial batch, which you test in your own process. Based on your findings we fine-tune until the material does what it should.
We record the approved formulation. You receive the material in the pack size you want, if required under your own brand and with your own TDS and SDS, at an additional cost.
What happens after your request
A request places you under no obligation.
Almost all relevant properties of a silicone system: hardness, colour, pot life, cure time, viscosity, thixotropy, tear strength, elongation, density and transparency. Every adjustment affects other properties, which is why we always state the technical trade-off in advance.
That depends on the adjustment and the quantity you need for testing. The cost is stated in the proposal you receive from us. You pay for a trial batch in advance. If you then order the approved material, we credit the cost against your first order.
Yes. We record an approved formulation, so a repeat order delivers the same material with the same behaviour in your process.
Yes, at an additional cost. On request we prepare a technical data sheet (TDS) with the properties of the approved material. If the material is classified as hazardous, a safety data sheet (SDS) is legally required on delivery; we prepare it for you. If you sell the material under your own brand, we also issue both documents under your brand name. The costs are stated in the proposal.
That depends on your model and your casting material. Addition-cure silicone is dimensionally stable and suited to long runs, but sensitive to inhibition by sulphur, tin, latex and incompletely cured substrates. Condensation-cure silicone is more tolerant of contaminated substrates but shrinks slightly and has a limited service life. We advise based on your situation.
Yes. We fill everything ourselves, so you are not tied to our pack sizes or our own brand. Your label and your brand name, with the mandatory hazard information. Quantities are agreed together with you.
For that we only work with systems the manufacturer has released for that application. An adjustment can affect that release; we discuss this in advance for each project. Whether the result is sufficient for your end product depends on the application; we do not give binding advice on this.
