The binder is the heart of your slurry: the liquid in which the flour is absorbed and that binds the ceramic layers to each other and to the wax model. With a good binder, you can create the slurry that best suits your model and your working method. You determine the viscosity and the flour, thus maintaining complete control over the end result.

Why buy a separate binder?

- ✓Long shelf life — unmixed, the binder has a shelf life of many years, so you mix it when you need it.
- ✓Ready-made mixture — our binder already contains defoamer, wetting agent, and polymer; you only add flour.
Good to know when mixing
Thoroughly mix a new or refilled slurry so that the flour is completely absorbed. Do not use a high-speed mixer (more than 2000 revolutions per minute): high shear forces break down the latex in the binder, causing the shell to lose strength (green strength). A low-speed mixer is sufficient.
If you do not want to mix continuously, combine the binder with a suspension aid such as xanthan gum or Shellspen (see additives). The corresponding procedure can be found in our manuals on the main page.
