Castable Epoxy
Epoxy casting resin for all applications
With our epoxy casting resin, you can create crystal-clear castings for river tables , jewelry/resin art , doming/coating , and deep casting (5–50 mm). Choose according to your application: fast doming epoxy for thin layers, deep pour epoxy for thick castings, or an all-around epoxy that can laminate, glue, and cast.
Choose the right casting epoxy (at a glance)
| Application | Recommended Products | Key Features |
|---|---|---|
| Jewelry & resin art (0–5 mm) | totalCAST • SAM River & Art Epoxy Resin | Fast gel, high gloss, easy to color; ideal for small castings |
| Coating & doming (tables, canvas) | MasterCast 1-2-1 • SAM HT Laminating Epoxy Resin | Self-leveling, crystal clear, excellent flow for an even top layer |
| River tables & deep casting (5–50 mm) | Deep Cast • Epoxy Casting Resin Clear • SAM Deep Epoxy Resin | Low exotherm, long pot life; bubble control in thick castings |
| Heat-tolerant thin layers | UltraCast XT • SAM HT Laminating Epoxy Resin | Higher temperature resistance for bar tops/worktops |
| All-round (casting, laminating, gluing) | All-Round Epoxy Casting Resin | Universally applicable, low viscosity, strong & impact resistant |
Note: Choose a system that suits your layer thickness and ambient temperature to prevent overheating or blushing.

Processing tips for crystal-clear results
- → Temperature: work at 18–25°C; higher T = shorter processing time
- → Mixing: weigh accurately, take the edges/bottom well into account; preferably mixed in a second cup
- → Air bubbles: pour gently in a thin stream; if necessary, use a vacuum/burner according to the product instructions.
- → Layer thickness: respect maximum casting thickness per product to prevent exotherm and shrinkage
- → Blush & cloudiness: avoid drafts/temperature fluctuations
- → Safety: Wear gloves and eye protection; work in a ventilated area
FAQ - epoxy casting resin
Which epoxy do I choose for my project?
Small castings & resin art → totalCAST / SAM River & Art. Coatings & doming → MasterCast 1-2-1 / SAM HT Laminating. Deep pour (5–50 mm) → Deep Cast / SAM Deep / Epoxy Casting Resin Clear. All-round work → All-Round Epoxy Casting Resin.
How thick can I pour?
Follow your system's TDS. As a guideline: doming/coating 0–5 mm, deep pour 5–50 mm (possibly in multiple layers).
Is epoxy food safe?
Only products explicitly intended for this purpose. Always have food contact assessed in accordance with legislation and carry out post-curing as prescribed.
Does epoxy discolour over time?
Slight yellowing is normal over time. Choose UV-stabilized systems, work cleanly, and protect from direct sunlight for optimal preservation.
