Technical Features
Mix the porcelain plaster with clean water at a ratio of approximately 4 parts plaster to 1 part water (by weight). Stir thoroughly until a homogeneous, airless mass is formed and pour immediately. The working time is 6 minutes, and full hardening occurs after 30-45 minutes. The material develops a compressive strength of 20-30 MPa and produces a fine, smooth surface that requires minimal finishing.
How much plaster do I need?
Fill your mold with water, measure how many millilitres it takes and enter that below. The calculator works out exactly how much powder and how much water you need to weigh out, so you throw away as little as possible.

How to get the best result
- ✓ Always weigh on a kitchen scale. The ratio of 4 to 1 is by weight, not by volume. If you measure four cups of powder against one cup of water, you are actually using far too much powder. The mix then becomes too thick, does not flow into the details and traps air.
- ✓ Water is easy to weigh too. 1 millilitre of water weighs 1 gram, so you can weigh water and powder on the same scale.
- ✓ Sprinkle the powder into the water, never pour water onto the powder. Let it soak for one to two minutes without stirring, then mix until smooth. This alone prevents most air bubbles.
- ✓ Never add powder or water once you have started. The plaster is already setting. Adding more causes lumps, weak spots and visible lines in the finished piece.
- ✓ Too little is worse than too much. If you run out halfway through pouring, the casting is lost. Work with at least 10 percent margin.
- ✓ With a flexible silicone mold the wall stretches a little when you fill it with water. The measured volume is then slightly on the generous side, which works in your favour.
