    Silicone Oil 1.5 cSt is an extremely low-viscosity, colorless, volatile polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluid with INCI name Dimethicone, a viscosity of 1.5 cSt, and a density of 0.851 g/cm³ at 25°C. The distinguishing feature of this grade is its volatile nature: after application, the fluid evaporates completely without leaving any visible residue or greasy feel. With a flash point of 57°C (closed cup), a melting point of -76°C, and a surface tension of 18.0 dynes/cm, Silicone Oil 1.5 cSt is the most commonly used volatile silicone as a replacement for cyclic siloxanes (D4/D5) in personal care products. The 1.5 cSt grade requires attention to fire prevention when used in enclosed spaces due to its relatively low flash point.

    ⚠️ Fire Hazard – flash point 57°C: The 1.5 cSt grade has a flash point of 57°C (closed cup). Keep the product away from heat sources, open flames, hot surfaces, and sparks. Do not smoke during use. Ensure good ventilation, especially in enclosed spaces. Store cool at 5–30°C. In case of fire: use carbon dioxide, powder, or alcohol-resistant foam – not water jets.
