    Size chart

We are aware of child labor in mines, where natural mica is produced. Unfortunately, these natural micas are readily available and widely available without the end user being aware of the distress they cause.

We want to prevent suffering and also offer a good product.
For this reason we offer synthetic mica. Synthetic mica (synthetic fluorphlogopite), is produced by laboratories and therefore NOT extracted from natural mines.

Our supplier also helps organizations such as "Made in a Free World", an organization that:

    • Cooperates with mines, to get the children out of the mines and into schools.
    • Does not sell pigments manufactured with Mica powder from mines in India or
      South Africa.

    Description

Besides the great advantage of supporting a slave-free world, these mica color pigments are of a high quality. The brightness of the colors and the degree of gloss is generally higher than with natural mica pigments.

Compared to natural mica, synthetic mica offers:

    1. High Purity
    2. Better consistency
    3. Cleaner, Whiter White Pearls
    4. Resistance to higher temperatures:
    5. Greater Reflectivity
    6. Higher chroma . interference colors
    7. Higher Density
    8. Less bleeding (discharge) from metallic colors
    9. Uniform finish, no sharp edges

    Micron
After the chosen color, the number of microns is indicated. One micron is one thousandth of a millimeter. 1 micron = 0.001 mm.
If the number is higher after the color, then the grain size is larger.
