Making a flower pot – step by step
- Prepare – cover your work surface; set out scales, water and baking paper.
- Mix – mix the A1 base material according to the instructions; add pigment until the colour is right.
- Terrazzo chips (optional) – make a thin coloured slab, let it cure and break it into pieces.
- Cast – pour the (coloured) mix and chips into the reusable mould; tap gently to remove air.
- Cure & demould – let it cure, remove the pot from the mould and tidy up the edges.
- Finish – sand (grit 80/320/600) and apply the coating supplied.
Tip: use an inner pot rather than relying on watertightness; this keeps your terrazzo looking clean and attractive.
