Acid Yellow is a dye often used as a dry indicator in the ceramic shell method. This dye changes color when the slurry dries, which helps to monitor the drying process and determine when the next layer can be applied. This is particularly useful in the lost wax method, where multiple layers of slurry and sand are applied to form a strong, heat-resistant shell.

The dye allows you to visually see when the slurry is completely dry, which is essential for obtaining a uniform and consistent shell. This makes the process more efficient and reduces the chance of errors.

Usage

Typically, 100 ml of dry indicator is enough for 25 liters of adbond binder or 50 liters of slurry

PLEASE NOTE

This dye is a salt and can affect the stability of the slurry. We advise against its use for beginners.
