Premium Pourable Condensation-Cure Silicone for Professional Mould Making and Casting Resin Reproduction
Elastosil® M 4440 is a pourable, condensation-cure (RTV-2) two-component silicone rubber that cures at room temperature to a white rubber with a Shore A hardness of approx. 37. This set is supplied with the matching curing agent Catalyst T 37, which gives a long pot life of approx. 80 minutes and a curing time of approx. 10 hours. Thanks to its very good flow and self-degassing, the material fills even fine details with ease, while its excellent resistance to polyester and polyurethane resins ensures a long mould life. With a mix ratio of 3% T37 by weight, it is a reliable all-round mould-making rubber for producing moulds cost-effectively.

Processing Instructions
- Before use, stir Part A (silicone base) thoroughly in its container to redistribute any settled fillers evenly.
- Weigh out Catalyst T 37 (Part B) by weight: 3% of the amount of Part A (3 grams of T37 per 100 grams of silicone).
- Mix both components slowly and thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom of the mixing container until the mix is homogeneous.
- Preferably degas the mixture under vacuum (10–20 mbar) to prevent air entrapment.
- Within the pot life of approx. 80 minutes, pour the mixture into the mould in a thin stream from a low height.
- Allow the silicone to cure for approx. 10 hours at room temperature (23 °C). Higher humidity and a higher catalyst dosage shorten the pot life and curing time.

Safety Information
Under normal use, the Elastosil M 4440 silicone base is not classified as hazardous. The supplied hardener Catalyst T 37 is classified as hazardous (GHS08, health hazard): H373 may cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure and H413 may cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life. Avoid breathing vapor or spray and avoid release to the environment. When processing, wear suitable protective gloves (butyl rubber), tight-fitting safety glasses, and protective clothing. Ensure good ventilation. In case of nebulization or aerosol formation, use a respiratory mask with an ABEK or ABEK-P2 filter. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work and wash hands thoroughly after use.
