PlatSil® HTS-40 is a two-component, platinum-catalyzed silicone rubber (RTV) from Polytek Development Corp., developed for demanding production environments where higher hardness is required. With Shore A40, excellent tear strength, and good chemical resistance, this rubber delivers reliable performance in repetitive demolding and intensive use.

Technical Specifications

Mix ratio 1A:10B (by weight). Shore A40 hardness, mixed viscosity 17,000 cP, pour time 30 minutes, demold after 24 hours at 77°F. Cured color: milky white. Specific gravity 1.11, elongation 831%. Can be thickened with PlatThix or Fumed Silica for brush-on applications.
