Brown sculpture wax for fine detail, slush casting and backup
Precizioned SculptaCast Sedona is a general-purpose brown sculpture wax for brushing and slush casting. Its low viscosity and good flow let you brush and slush fine details. The moderate setting speed also makes it suitable as a backup wax. Sedona has moderate stiffness, polishes well and blends easily with other sculpture waxes in the SculptaCast range. The wax is based on petroleum raw materials, has a drop melt point of 64 ± 4 °C and leaves 0.005 % ash.

Processing
- Melt the wax carefully and do not heat it above 100 °C.
- Brush the first layer into the mould for the detail.
- Build up the wall thickness by slushing, or use the same wax as backup.
- For different properties, blend Sedona with another SculptaCast wax and test the blend first.
- Let the wax cool and demould the pattern.
Points to note
- ✓ Do not heat the wax above 100 °C and do not keep it at high temperature for long. Otherwise the product degrades thermally.
- ✓ Avoid skin contact with molten wax and do not inhale the fumes.
