Premium Condensation Silicone for Professional Applications

Condensation Silicone 20 Shore A is a medium-hardness tin-cure molding rubber, specially developed for making durable molds for polyurethane and epoxy casting. This liquid silicone combines excellent detail reproduction with high tensile strength, making it ideal for both prototyping and production work.

    Key Benefits

    • Excellent fluidity: Captures finest details and textures effortlessly
    • High Tensile Strength: Durable molds that can withstand heavy use
    • Medium hardness (20 Shore A): Optimal balance between flexibility and stability
    • Compatible with PU and epoxy: No inhibition when used with polyurethane and epoxy systems
    • Reliable curing: Predictable processing time and consistent results
    • Cost-effective: Excellent value for professional use

    Typical Applications

    • Molds for polyurethane casting (PU foam, elastomers, hard resins)
    • Epoxy and acrylic resin casting (Acrylic One, concrete look, decorative objects)
    • Prototyping and production work in design and engineering
    • Props and set construction for film, theatre and events
    • Copying images and ornaments for artists and restorers
    • Jewelry and small-scale reproduction in creative industries

    Technical Features

This condensation silicone is supplied as a two-component system that is easy to use at room temperature. Its medium hardness of 20 Shore A creates flexible molds that are easy to demould, while its high tensile strength allows for long-term use. Suitable for plaster, concrete, wax, polyurethane, and epoxy.

Note: Pot life (processing time) and demold time depend heavily on the mixing ratio and humidity. Adding more silicone B (hardener) or increasing humidity will shorten the pot life and demold time.

    Ironing, Smearing or Spatula

For spreading, spatulating or smoothing silicone you can Thixo C (0.6%-2%, usually 1%) . This thickener makes it possible to spread the silicone. With this processing method, the mold must be provided with a support cap ofplaster cast, epoxy support cap, or acrylic resin with thickener and glass fibre.

Manufactured by Silicones and More , specialists in high-quality moulding rubbers and casting materials for professional makers.
