Processing
Mix the silicone well in the specified ratio by weight. This is best done by hand, as mechanical mixing can incorporate too much air.
Preferably work with 2 people and a model. One person mixes the silicone, the other applies it to the model.
Grease the model with petroleum jelly or hair release if the silicone is to be used on lightly haired or short hair. For long hair, we do not recommend this product. In that case, use a bald cap.
Note: The processing time and demolding time are indicated at 20 degrees Celsius and will be shorter in a warm environment or on warm skin.
Use a support shell! The silicone captures very fine details but is not dimensionally stable on its own. Therefore, a support shell must be used. Preferably, the support shell is made from plaster bandages. Apply this while the silicone has cured and is still on the body. Try to make the support shell in 2 parts. This gives better results. Plaster bandages do not adhere to silicone.
Addition-cure silicone warning: Avoid contact with sulfur, nitrogen, amino compounds, and metal salts (present in latex gloves, cigarette smoke, some plasticines, condensation silicones, and 3D printing materials). If in doubt, perform a small test first.
