Wacker ELASTOSIL® E43 N Transparent is a high-quality 1-component, neutral-cure (oxime-cure) solvent-free silicone adhesive and sealant, specifically developed as a food-safe and addition-silicone-friendly variant of the classic E43. The biggest advantage over E43: E43 N does not inhibit the cure of platinum-cure (addition) silicones, making this adhesive indispensable in professional silicone workshops. Transparent color, self-leveling, UV-resistant, and electrically insulating. Available in 90 ml and 310 ml cartridges.

Technical Characteristics

Comparison with E43: E43 N is slightly stronger than the standard E43 and has the unique advantage of not inhibiting the cure of addition silicones. Choose E43 N when working in combination with platinum-cure silicones.

Processing Instructions:

Sand the surface, remove dust and contamination
Degrease with thinner or alcohol and allow to evaporate completely
Apply E43 N and spread evenly – the product self-levels
Allow 15 minutes for surface drying; full strength after 24 hours
Always perform a small test on the specific substrate first

Safety Information: Approximately 4% of the weight of acetic acid is split off during curing. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes. In case of eye contact: rinse immediately with water. Consult the safety data sheet for complete information.

The product is not classified as hazardous according to EU regulations, but contains <5% methyltriacetoxysilane, a substance that forms acetic acid upon contact with moisture. Therefore, avoid prolonged exposure to vapours and prevent contact with bases, alcohols, and water during storage.
