The Wacker Elastosil RT 480 is a spreadable 2-component condensation silicone, which cures at room temperature, with a higher hardness.
These silicones are ideal for making molds via a lubrication process and for making seals that need to be made on site (FIPG)
This Kneadable Silicone is not suitable for making products for food preparation. Use our category: Food-safe silicone . These silicones are also not suitable for hardening on the skin. Use SFX silicone for this

Please note: Pot life/demoulding time is highly dependent on the amount of B component and humidity! With higher humidity, the processing time and demoulding time become shorter.
Processing
The silicone condensation can be easily mixed by hand. Weigh the A and B components carefully and mix the 2 components together until you obtain a homogeneous color. Process the mixture within the pot life and wait until it has completely hardened before demoulding.
Extra information
This silicone is not suitable for processing food.
Shelf life
Provided the silicone is stored in closed packaging, cool and frost-free, the shelf life is at least 1 year.
Safety requirements
If you frequently work with the silicone, it is recommended to wear gloves during processing and to ventilate the area well. For safety instructions, please refer to the safety data sheet.
