Premium Spreadable Condensation Silicone for Professional Mold Making and Sealing Applications

Wacker ELASTOSIL® RT 480 is a high-quality 2-component condensation-curing (tin-cure) spreadable silicone with Shore A 55 hardness, specially developed for making spatula molds on vertical and inclined surfaces and for formed-in-place gaskets (FIPG). This professional product combines high viscosity (250,000 mPa·s) for spatula applications with excellent mechanical strength (4.5 N/mm² tensile strength) and flexible curing speed through choice of hardener.

Processing Instructions:

1. Accurately weigh components A and B in the correct ratio
2. Mix both components until a homogeneous color is achieved
3. Apply with a spatula or brush to the model
4. Process within the pot life and wait until fully cured before demolding

Please note – humidity dependence: Pot life and demolding time are highly dependent on the amount of component B and humidity. Higher humidity shortens processing time and demolding time.

Not suitable for: Food-safe applications (for these, use our Food-safe silicones) and skin contact/SFX (for these, use our SFX silicones).
