Everything is cooler when it is transparent. As a kid, Emiel had a see-through purple Game Boy; he still loves anything transparent. In this video he gives an existing cordless drill a transparent housing, using a condensation-cure silicone mould and crystal-clear polyurethane.
Tip from the video: River & Art Epoxy may work even better than the PU for a casting like this.
