Metallic rub-on wax for an antique metal effect on figures
Pébéo Gilding Wax is a metallic rub-on wax in a 30 ml pot. It gives a figure or object made of porcelain plaster or acrylic resin a classic metallic or antique metal look. The wax is ready to use and gives a deep, warm effect on a black base. You can choose from six colours: King Gold, Antique Gold, Empire Gold, Renaissance Gold, Copper and Silver.

Application
- Prime the surface first with Bodycasting Primer Black.
- Pick up a very small amount of Gilding Wax on a brush or cloth.
- Wipe the brush or cloth on a smooth surface first, so that only a thin layer remains.
- Rub gently over your object in circular movements. When little more comes off, increase the pressure or pick up some wax from the spot where you wiped the brush.
- Work in thin layers; three layers usually give the best effect. If you combine colours, apply the next colour afterwards.
- Let the wax cure for about 5 minutes, then buff it with a tissue or paper handkerchief.
Points to note
- ✓ Working with Gilding Wax is not difficult, but it takes a little practice. Try it on a test piece first.
- ✓ Thin layers give a better result than one thick layer.
- ✓ Close the pot tightly after use.
