Premium Platinum Silicone for Professional Applications
PlatSil Gel-0030 is a skin-safe, platinum-cure silicone from Polytek Development Corp with a Shore 00-30 hardness — slightly firmer than Gel-0020, but still extremely soft and flexible. This two-component system offers excellent stretchability and a realistic skin-like texture, ideal for professional prosthetics, SFX, and life casting applications.

Technical Characteristics
PlatSil Gel-0030 has a mix ratio of 1A:1B (weight or volume), a pour time of 45 minutes and a demould time of 4 hours at 23°C (73°F). The working time can be adjusted with PlatSil Part X Accelerator or Part R Retarder. The system is compatible with Polytek PlatThinner for added softness and with Polytek pigments for colour matching.

Safety Information
According to Polytek's EU safety data sheet, component A causes skin irritation (H315) and serious eye irritation (H319), and is harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H412). Signal word: Warning. Component B is not classified as hazardous. Wear protective gloves (for example nitrile) and eye protection, and wash your hands thoroughly after work. On skin contact, wash with plenty of soap and water; on eye contact, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Avoid release to the environment and dispose of residues via an approved waste disposal company.
