Premium Condensation Silicone for Professional Mold Making

Silicone Condensation 20 is a tin-cure silicone rubber with a Shore A 20 hardness, specially developed for creating flexible, detailed molds. This medium-hard condensation silicone combines excellent flow properties with high tensile strength, making it ideal for both simple and complex molding applications. Its reliable cure and durable flexibility make this silicone the preferred choice for professionals in plaster, concrete, and wax casting.

    Key Benefits

    • Excellent detail reproduction: Low viscosity ensures perfect reproduction of fine details and textures
    • High Tensile Strength: Durable molds that withstand heavy use and repeated pouring
    • Dimensionally stable flexibility: Shore A 20 hardness offers optimal balance between flexibility and dimensional stability
    • Wide range of applications: Compatible with plaster, concrete, wax, soap and acrylic resin systems
    • Reliable curing: Predictable processing time and consistent results at room temperature
    • Cost-effective: Excellent price-performance ratio for professional and semi-professional applications

    Typical Applications

    • Plaster molds: Ornaments, architectural details and decorative elements in plaster and porcelain plaster
    • Concrete casting: Precast concrete parts, garden ornaments and wetcast applications
    • Candle and soap molds: Flexible molds for complex shapes and undercuts
    • Acrylic Resin Casting: Molds for Jesmonite, Acrylic One, and Similar Water-Based Resin Systems
    • Props and set construction: Reproductions for theatre, film and events
    • Art Foundry: Lost-wax models and prototype development

    Technical Features

This condensation silicone is supplied as a two-component system with a simple 100:5 mixing ratio (base:catalyst). The pot life is approximately 30-45 minutes at 23°C, with full cure after 24 hours. The cured rubber exhibits minimal shrinkage and retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range. Suitable for open-mold casting and brush-on applications with thickener.

    Ironing, Smearing or Spatula

For spreading, spatulating or smoothing silicone you can use Thixo C (0.6%-2%, usually 1%) . This thickener makes the silicone easy to spread. With this processing method, the mold must be provided with aplaster bandage support cap. epoxy support cap, or acrylic resin with thickener and glass fibre.

SAM (Silicones and More) develops and supplies high-quality silicone elastomers and molding materials for professional makers, artists, and industrial applications.
