Premium Two-Component Silicone Foam for Professional Applications
SilSo Lite 21025 is a two-component, room-temperature platinum-cure silicone foam, specifically developed for liquid dispensing via automated dispensing systems. The product combines low viscosity with fast curing and excellent thermal protection – ideal for lightweight potting and encapsulation of complex components.
Key Benefits
- Low viscosity (17,000 cP mixed): Excellent flow around complex components and into tight spaces.
- Fast room temperature cure: Gel time of 90 seconds at 25°C – efficient production speed without an oven.
- Fire safe (UL-94 V-0): Certified low smoke and toxicity profile upon combustion (UL File QMFZ2.E205830).
- Primerless adhesion: Chemical adhesion at room temperature to various substrates without pre-treatment.
- Hydrolytically stable & reversion-resistant: Long-term reliability in humid and thermally stressed environments.
- Electrical insulation & shock protection: Protects components from environmental influences and mechanical stress.
Typical Applications
- Lightweight potting and encapsulation of electronics
- EV battery modules – thermal protection and weight reduction
- PCB staking and component fixation
- Thermal insulation in industrial equipment
- Protection of sensors and connectors in automotive applications
- Aerospace: lightweight sealing of electronic assemblies
Technical Characteristics
Mixing ratio 1:1 by volume (1.17:1 by weight). Part A (black, 1.17 g/cm³) contains the platinum catalyst; Part B (colorless, 1.00 g/cm³) is the hardener. Cured product: opaque black foam with density 0.4 g/cc, elongation at break 70%, maximum operating temperature 200°C, thermal conductivity 0.067 W/mK. Storage temperature max. 38°C, shelf life 12 months. Dispensing via static mixer recommended (e.g., 8×8 mm, 32-element at 1–2 g/s).
