Catalyst for condensation-cure silicones, matched to Wacker M 4503
Wacker Catalyst T 35 is a catalyst (B component) for condensation-cure silicones (RTV-2, tin cure). It works with all condensation-cure silicones and is mainly intended for Wacker Elastosil M 4503. You dose 5% by weight: for 100 grams of A component you use 5 grams of T 35. If you want to demould sooner, you can mix T 35 with Catalyst T 47.

Processing
- Stir the A component thoroughly.
- Weigh out 5% T 35 relative to the A component, so 5 grams per 100 grams. You may use 0.5% more or less.
- Mix A and B carefully until homogeneous, by hand or by machine.
- Use the mixture within the pot life and never mix more than you can process in that time.
- Want to brush or spatula the silicone? Add 0.6 to 2% (usually 1%) Thixo C and give the mould a support jacket.
- Only demould once the silicone has fully cured.
Points to note
- ✓ Pot life and demould time depend strongly on the dosage and the humidity. More catalyst or higher humidity shortens both.
- ✓ Less catalyst gives a longer cure and more time for air bubbles to escape. Do not use too little, or the silicone may not cure properly.
- ✓ More catalyst makes the mould cure faster, but the mould will also age faster and shrink more.
- ✓ This product is classified as hazardous to fertility and the unborn child. Read the safety information before use, wear splash goggles, liquid-tight gloves and an apron and work in a well-ventilated area.
- ✓ Stored sealed, cool and frost-free, it keeps for at least 1 year.
