    Flexible microcrystalline wax in pastilles

    Microcrystalline Wax LMP in pastilles is a flexible base wax for art casters. You use it as a casting wax or as a blending wax: blending it into other waxes lets you adjust their melting temperature and plasticity. Blended with Remet Casting Wax Art Red, it makes that red casting wax more flexible. The melting point is 68 °C.

    Processing

    1. Melt the wax at approx. 70 °C.
    2. Pour the wax into an open mould. As a professional caster, you do this under pressure or vacuum to prevent air bubbles.
    3. Use the wax pattern in the lost-wax process.
    4. If you want to blend, add the wax to other casting waxes according to your own recipe.

    Points to note

    • ✓ Never heat the wax above 100 °C. This can permanently change the properties of the wax.
    • ✓ Avoid skin contact with molten wax and do not breathe in fumes or smoke.
    • ✓ Shelf life: at least 5 years.
