Siliconesandmore Mega Plopper

When I was little, I had a Plopper. You could turn it over and it would jump a bit into the air. I could amuse myself with it for hours. But what if you make it a lot bigger?

The Plopper is a toy that was loved as a child. The author starts by cutting a small version of the Plopper and uses it to create a 3D printed mold. The author then tests different geometries and materials to see which ones work best for the larger version. The goal is to create a working, larger Plopper that has more power than the original.

To make this larger version I used the following products:

  • Addition Silicone (Mold) : I used this for the mold. You can find it at this link.
  • PT Flex 60 (Plopper) : This material is ideal for the Plopper itself. More information can be found here.
  • Food coloring : To give the Plopper a cheerful tint, I used food coloring. You can find it here: Food coloring.
