Amino-functional silicone oil for conditioning and shine in hair care
BRB SF 242 is a 100 % active amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane with a viscosity of 5000 mm²/s. Its primary amine groups give the polymer a net positive charge in aqueous systems. As a result it readily coats the negatively charged hair surface and provides a long-lasting conditioning and softening effect. Compared with standard amino oils, SF 242 has a lower amine content and a higher molecular weight.

Processing
- Add BRB SF 242 to the oil phase.
- Emulsify the oil phase into the end product.
- Dose at 0.25 to 3 %, depending on the desired effect.
