Building blocks for addition cure silicones
To formulate your own platinum (addition cure) silicone you need vinyl polymers as the base, a Si-H crosslinker for curing and a platinum catalyst to start the reaction.
- Vinyl Dimethicone 100 cSt, 2,000 cSt, 20,000 cSt and 65,000 cSt, vinyl terminated polymers to set viscosity and hardness
- Filled vinyl polydimethylsiloxanes 300,000 cSt and 1,300,000 cSt, a pre filled base for higher tear strength
- Vinyl Gum 0.074 and Vinyl fluid 100 cSt
- Crosslinker 200 and Crosslinker 307, Si-H crosslinkers
- Modifier 2.5, a Si-H terminated chain extender for softer, more elastic rubbers
- Platinum accelerator for addition cure silicones
- Q resin 6022, an MQ resin for extra strength and tack

- OH Polymer Fluid 40 cSt and Silicone OH Fluid 5000, hydroxy terminated polymers as the base for RTV-2 condensation systems

Frequently asked questions
Can I make my own casting rubber with these raw materials?
Yes. With a vinyl polymer, a Si-H crosslinker, a platinum catalyst and optionally a filler you can make an addition cure silicone. The ratio determines hardness, elongation and working time. Always start with small trial mixes and feel free to ask us for a starting formulation.
Do you supply larger quantities?
Yes. In addition to the packs in the web shop we supply drums and IBCs on request. Contact us for a quote.
