BRB TMS-50I is a 50 % dispersion of trimethylsiloxysilicate, a high molecular weight silicone resin, in isododecane (INCI: Isododecane (and) Trimethylsiloxysilicate). The isododecane evaporates quickly after application, leaving a thin, water-insoluble and durable resin film that resists wash-off and rub-off, without a greasy or tacky feel. The viscosity is approx. 10 mm²/s at 25 °C and the refractive index 1.420.
⚠️ Responsibility for your finished product
This is a raw material for cosmetic formulations. As the formulator or manufacturer, you are responsible for the safety assessment and claims of your finished product under the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Substantiate claims such as anti-frizz, water resistance or transfer resistance with tests on your own finished formulation.

Processing
- Add TMS-50I to the oil or silicone phase of your formulation and mix until homogeneous.
- The manufacturer recommends a use level of 3 to 25 %, depending on the application.
- Lower levels are common in hair products: a BRB formulation for an anti-frizz hair oil uses 1 %. Higher levels can make hair feel stiff, so test step by step.
- Test film formation, feel and stability of your finished formulation.
