Meltable clay to brush onto foam and sculpt in detail
Chavant Monu-Melt is a sulphur-free, non-hardening clay that is tack-free, odourless and stays flexible. You melt the clay and brush it onto foam, for example a CNC-milled foam core. Once cool, you sculpt fine detail into it. At approx. 77 °C you can spread Monu-Melt with a trowel, at approx. 85 °C it can be brushed. Choose between Medium (softens at 60 °C) and Hard (softens at 63 °C), in dark green.

Application
- Heat the clay with temperature control. At approx. 77 °C you spread it with a trowel, at approx. 85 °C you can brush it.
- Keep the temperature below 93 °C. Above that the liquid clay starts to bubble. This is usually only cosmetic and does not affect the cooled clay.
- Brush the clay in layers onto the foam or armature.
- Let the clay cool and then sculpt the details.
- Wash your hands with soap and water after use.
Points to note
- ✓ Take care with melted clay: hot clay can cause burns.
- ✓ Monu-Melt does not work well with addition-cure (platinum) silicones. Always do a test before moulding.

Safety Information
No European hazard classification is known for Monu-Melt. Follow the usual rules for working safely with modelling clay. Do not overheat the clay: overheated clay can cause serious burns. Only use solvents such as naphtha, mineral spirits or isopropyl alcohol in a well-ventilated area and keep them away from open flames. Wear gloves and eye protection when working with solvents or warm clay, and wash your hands after use. What is the delivery time for my order?
Orders placed and paid on working days are in most cases shipped the same day. Weekend orders are processed on the next working day.
