Extra purified 1,000 cSt silicone oil for cosmetics, pharma and silicones
Dimethicone PDMS 1,000 cSt is an extra pure polydimethylsiloxane (silicone oil) for pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations and for technical applications. The oil is colourless and odourless, with a viscosity of 1,000 cSt and a density of 0.97 g/cm³ at 25 °C. The molecular weight is approx. 28,000 g/mol. The flash point is above 120 °C (closed cup) and above 300 °C (open cup), and the freezing point is -50 °C. Among other things, you use it to make casting silicones softer and more flexible.

Processing
- Mix component A and B of your casting silicone according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Add the silicone oil and stir well. The oil makes the cured silicone softer, more flexible and more stretchable, and the mixture more fluid.
- Determine the right amount with a small test, as the effect differs per silicone.
- On a brush-on or spatula mould, smooth the applied silicone by hand with a little oil.
Points of attention
- ✓ If you use the oil for pharma, cosmetics or another regulated application, request the certificate of analysis and the required declarations from us in advance.
- ✓ Store the oil tightly closed in its original container. It then keeps for at least 5 years.
