Premium Flexible Polyurethane Casting Elastomer for Professional Model and Mould Applications
Altropol NEUKADUR® Fleximasse HS 75-15 is a two-component polyurethane casting system that cures at room temperature into a brown, flexible elastomer with a hardness of Shore A 75 (after 24 hours). Component A (brown) and component B (light amber) are mixed 100 : 40 by weight. The mixture has a viscosity of approx. 3,000 mPa·s at 25 °C and therefore flows very well into details. The pot life is approx. 15 minutes (200 g) and the casting can be demoulded after approx. 6 hours. The cured material combines a high elongation of 450 % with a strong restoring force, a tensile strength of 7 MPa and a tear strength of 22 N/mm. Fleximasse HS 75-15 can be processed by hand or by machine and is suitable for patterns for concrete casts, technical parts and all kinds of moulds and models.
Professional use: mandatory diisocyanate training
Component B contains diisocyanates. Since 24 August 2023, industrial or professional users may only process this product after completing the mandatory training on the safe use of diisocyanates (REACH Annex XVII, entry 74). Processing instructions:
- Stir component A thoroughly in its original container; fillers and moisture absorbers can settle. Stir component B well too.
- Only process the material at room temperature (20 to 25 °C) in a dry room. Preferably preheat the mould to 40 °C and do not use wooden spatulas.
- Weigh the components accurately in a ratio of 100 parts A to 40 parts B by weight. If the ratio deviates by more than 3 %, the stated properties will not be achieved; for small quantities, use scales accurate to 0.01 gram.
- Mix A and B thoroughly until homogeneous. Transferring the mix to a clean mixing cup (repotting) helps to avoid mixing faults.
- Pour the mixture into the mould in a steady stream within the pot life of approx. 15 minutes (200 g), avoiding air entrapment. For castings thicker than 30 mm, pour in several layers to limit heat build-up; let each layer gel before pouring the next.
- Demould after approx. 6 hours; the final hardness of Shore A 75 is reached after 24 hours. Thermal behaviour can be improved by post-curing the casting for a few hours at 60 °C.
Store the material dry in the tightly closed original container at 20 to 25 °C and use opened containers as soon as possible. The shelf life is stated on the label; the first two digits of the batch number indicate the week, the third digit the year.

Safety Information
Component B (isocyanate) is classified with the signal word Danger: harmful if inhaled (H332), causes skin irritation (H315) and serious eye irritation (H319), may cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled (H334), may cause an allergic skin reaction (H317), may cause respiratory irritation (H335), is suspected of causing cancer (H351), may cause damage to the lungs and respiratory tract through prolonged or repeated exposure (H373) and is very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H410). Contains isocyanates, may produce an allergic reaction (EUH204). Component A is toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H411), without a signal word. Work in a well-ventilated area and do not breathe vapours or mist; wear respiratory protection with at least an A/P2 filter if ventilation is inadequate. Wear protective gloves to EN 374, for example nitrile rubber from 0.35 mm or butyl rubber from 0.5 mm, tight-fitting safety goggles and protective work clothing. Handling component B is not recommended for people with sensitised airways or skin (asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic skin conditions). Store the product locked up, avoid release to the environment and collect spillage. For industrial or professional use, diisocyanate safe-use training is mandatory.
