Premium Flexible Polyurethane Casting Elastomer for Professional Model and Prototype Applications

NEUKADUR Fleximasse HS 75-15 is a two-component polyurethane casting elastomer that cures at room temperature to a flexible end product with a hardness of Shore A 75 and a brown colour. The system combines high elongation with strong recovery force and can be processed both by hand and by machine. With a processing time of approximately 15 minutes, a demoulding time of approximately 6 hours at 25°C and a mixing ratio of 100:40 (A:B) by weight, it offers fast, simple processing. Thanks to its very good flowability, the material fills detail well, making it ideal for models, technical parts, moulds and prototypes.

    Key Benefits

    • Hardness Shore A 75: firm yet flexible end product – retains shape and detail under repeated use and mechanical load.
    • Elongation at break approx. 450%: high elasticity – complex geometries and undercuts demould without tearing or permanent deformation.
    • Tensile strength approx. 7.0 MPa: good mechanical strength – withstands tensile load on functional parts and durable models.
    • Tear strength approx. 22 N/mm: high resistance to tearing – reliable demoulding of castings with sharp edges.
    • Processing time approx. 15 minutes: ample pot life – sufficient time for mixing, degassing and pouring medium-sized moulds.
    • Mixed viscosity approx. 3000 mPa·s: very good flowability – fills fine detail and cavities without air entrapment.

    Typical Applications

    • Models for concrete moulding in construction, architecture and decorative applications
    • Manufacture of flexible technical and functional parts
    • Production of moulds and models for casting and reproduction work
    • Replicas and prototypes in design and product development
    • Small flexible castings requiring high elongation and recovery force
    • Rapid prototyping where wear resistance matters more than UV or temperature resistance

    Processing Instructions:

    1. Stir component A (brown) and component B (light amber) thoroughly in their original packaging to distribute the fillers. The moisture absorbers may settle; shake the packaging vigorously before use.
    2. Process the polyurethane only at room temperature (20 to 25°C) in a dry room. Preheat the mould preferably to 40°C. Do not use wooden spatulas.
    3. Weigh the components accurately in a ratio of 100 parts A to 40 parts B (weight). A deviation of more than 3% means the stated specifications will not be achieved; for small quantities use a scale accurate to 0.01 gram.
    4. Pour components A and B together and mix thoroughly and homogeneously. Transferring to a clean bucket helps avoid mixing errors.
    5. Pour the mixture into the mould in a steady stream and avoid air entrapment. For castings thicker than 30 mm, pour several successive layers to limit heat build-up; let each layer set before the next.
    6. Allow the casting to cure for approximately 6 hours at 25°C. Place the mould preferably at 40°C. Thermal behaviour can be improved by post-curing the casting for a few hours at 60°C afterwards.

Manufactured by Altropol Kunststoff GmbH, German producer of high-quality casting and moulding materials for industrial and technical applications.

    Shelf Life

The polyurethane casting system should be stored dry between 20 and 25°C. The expiry date, based on storage within the specified conditions, is indicated on the packaging. Process opened packaging as soon as possible. The normal shelf life is 6 months.
