Premium RTV-1 Silicone Coating for Professional Sealing and Protective Applications

Wacker ELASTOSIL® A07 Translucent is a ready-to-use, 1-component moisture-curing solvent-based silicone coating (RTV-1), specially developed for multifunctional sealing, coating and protection of electronics and technical components. This professional product combines excellent primerless adhesion to many substrates, low modulus, and flexibility from -40°C to +180°C, ideal for HVAC, electronics, and small household appliances. No organotin catalysts. Apply by dipping, spraying, brushing or coating.

Key Benefits

  • Ready-to-use 1-component system: No mixing required – directly applicable from the cartridge for fast, efficient processing
  • Excellent primerless adhesion: Adheres directly to many substrates including metal, glass, ceramics, and most plastics
  • Wide temperature resistance: Flexible and stable from -40°C to +180°C for demanding thermal environments
  • Low modulus – high flexibility: Shore A 20 hardness with 300% elongation for durable, vibration-resistant bonds
  • No organotin catalysts: More environmentally friendly formulation in accordance with modern safety standards
  • Adjustable layer thickness: Thinnable with toluene/white spirit for thinner coatings, multi-step coating for thicker layers

Typical Applications

  • Electronics coating and conformal coating for circuit boards and electronic components
  • HVAC systems: sealing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components
  • Small household appliances: sealing and protection of moving parts
  • Protective coating for metal, glass, and ceramics in industrial environments
  • Sealing of joints and seams in technical constructions
  • Flexible coating for components subject to vibrations and thermal cycles

Processing Instructions:

  1. Apply by dipping, spraying, brushing, or coating
  2. For thinner coatings: dilute with toluene or white spirit
  3. For thicker coatings: apply multi-step coating
  4. Curing can be accelerated at CO₂ concentration >1% by volume
  5. Remove uncured product with organic solvents (aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons)
  6. Once cured: only mechanical removal is possible (possibly pre-swell with solvent or Wacker Silicone Remover S8)

Packaging: Cartridge 88 grams (90 ml). Store in a tightly closed package. See product label for shelf life.
