Fast, low-viscosity polyurethane casting resin for moulds and models
Altropol PU Casting Resin D70 Fast is a two-component polyurethane casting system based on NEUKADUR MultiCast 3 with hardener ISO 25 from German manufacturer Altropol. The resin has a very low viscosity (approx. 80 mPa·s mixed) and cures quickly to a white end product. You mix resin and hardener 100 : 100 by weight, have approx. 2 minutes pot life at room temperature and can demould thin parts after just 15 minutes. Unfilled, you reach Shore D 70; filled, Shore D 80.
⚠️ Mandatory training for professional use
The hardener contains diisocyanates. Since 24 August 2023, this product may only be used industrially or professionally by staff who have completed the mandatory training on the safe use of diisocyanates (REACH Annex XVII, entry 74).

Application
- Make sure the mould and parts are completely dry; polyurethane reacts with moisture.
- Weigh resin and hardener in a ratio of 100 : 100 by weight.
- Mix both components thoroughly at room temperature (above 18 °C). Unfilled, you have approx. 2 minutes pot life (100 g).
- Pour into the mould in a steady stream and avoid trapping air.
- Demould after approx. 15 minutes at 4 to 5 mm wall thickness (25 °C).
- For castings thicker than 5 mm, use a filler. Filled, you have approx. 4 minutes pot life and can demould castings of 30 to 40 mm after approx. 30 minutes. The filler ratio is given in the technical data sheet.
Points to note
- ✓ Work in a dry room and reseal containers tightly straight after use.
- ✓ Shake or stir the components well before use to prevent settling.
- ✓ Store resin and hardener in the tightly closed original packaging at 20 to 25 °C. Use opened containers as soon as possible.
- ✓ Shelf life 6 months when stored correctly.

It contains isocyanates that may produce an allergic reaction (EUH204), is suspected of causing cancer (H351), may cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (H373) and is toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H411).
