Premium Condensation Silicone A-component for Professional Molds

Silicone Condensation 20 A-component is the base component of a two-component, tin-cure (condensation-crosslinking) casting silicone with a Shore A 20 hardness. This high-quality silicone combines excellent flow properties with very high tensile strength and detail reproduction, ideal for creating durable molds for cement, plaster, wax, soap, and other casting materials. Note: The B-component (hardener) must be ordered separately – choose from a variety of hardeners for optimal compatibility with your casting material.

    Key Benefits

    • Excellent flow properties: Good flowability for precise detail reproduction and self-venting effect
    • Very high tensile strength: Durable molds that can withstand hundreds of castings without cracking
    • Shore A 20 hardness: Medium hardness for a balance between flexibility and stability
    • Modular hardener system: Combine with the right B-component for your application (standard, polyester, epoxy/PU, fast)
    • Thickenable for spatula application: Addition of Thixo C (0.6-2%) enables smoothing and spatula techniques
    • Long shelf life: Minimum 1 year shelf life when stored cool, frost-free in closed packaging.

    Typical Applications

    • Ornaments and decorative concrete molds for architectural decoration and restoration
    • Candle molds and wax molds for candle makers and hobbyists
    • Soap molds for artisanal soap production
    • Plaster and porcelain plaster molds for sculpture and art foundry
    • Concrete molds for precast elements, WetCast and decorative concrete
    • Acrylic resin molds for Jesmonite, Acrylic One and A1 applications

    Technical Features

    Ironing, Smearing or Spatula

For spreading, spatulating or smoothing silicone you can use Thixo C (0.6%-2%, usually 1%) . This thickener makes the silicone easy to spread. With this processing method, the mold must be provided with aplaster cast support cap. epoxy support cap, or acrylic resin with thickener and glass fibre.

Required B-component (hardener) - available separately:

    • Condensation B 5%: Standard hardener for universal applications (plaster, wax, soap, cement)
    • Wacker T51: Specially for polyester casting resins - prevents inhibition
    • Wacker T21: Specially for epoxy and polyurethane casting resins - prevents inhibition
    • Wacker T47 (1-2%): Fast hardener for short processing times, mixable with other hardeners

Silicones and More supplies high-quality silicone, epoxy, and polyurethane materials for professionals in mold making, casting, and decorative applications.
