Our silicones are food-safe . This means they are suitable for use with food. However, keep in mind that the final product also requires food safety. This depends on how well the processing instructions have been followed and whether any foreign substances have been added.
🥄 Thickness & Consistency
If you want to thicken the silicone , we recommend avoiding thixo (thickening agents). Instead, you can use the much safer fumed silica powder for optimal food safety.
🎨 Add Color
Want to color food-safe silicone ? Use our silicone colorants with the FDA designation after the name. This way, you can create creative and safe molds for professional culinary applications.
🔧 Gluing & Repairing
For bonding, gluing or repairing food-safe silicone, we recommend Elastosil E43N .
