Why silicone is ideal for soap and candle molds
Silicone rubber is flexible, stretchable, and extremely precise – down to the micrometer. This makes it perfect for crafting delicate and decorative soaps and candles.
You can choose between:
- Oil-releasing silicones: easy demolding and extra glossy surface.
- Dry silicones: also provide a glossy finish, if the original model is glossy. Ideal for matte effects or oil-free products.
Your choice depends on the desired look and the complexity of your mold.
